Zach Tyler brings 12 years of real world electric vehicle development to Boulder Electric Vehicle. Zach’s life has centered around cars from a very young age starting with go karts and other experimental vehicles to a plug in diesel hybrid project conceived as an undergraduate at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to joining the team at Boulder Electric Vehicle, Zach worked on many innovative vehicle designs for several boutique electric vehicle companies, with the goal to realize practical and robust electric transportation for the personal and commercial vehicle markets. Zach also brings a background in environmental stewardship and civic responsibility, as a campus founder of Students for Environmental Action. For the last three years Zach has worked on high end personal vehicle conversions for Classic Electrics LLC.
Zach spends his free time working on lightweight electric vehicle design and alternative fuel vehicles. Past projects include a biodiesel motorcycle and a replica Porsche Spyder conversion.
Zach has spent the better part of 10 years as resident of Boulder Colorado, where he lives with his wife and three children.
